AMBASSADOR RESPONSIBILITIES & GUIDELINES
CHECK IN:
-
Ambassadors must arrive at check-in 60 minutes prior to the gates opening. (GATES OPEN APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SHOW TIME)

Each Ambassador must sign the “Sign In” Sheet at each concert worked (located in the Ambassador Tent)

Remain at assigned position until you are relieved

Ambassadors are expected to act in good faith, arrive on time, serve shifts honestly and act as a good-will ambassador for Ives, treating the audience and other Ambassadors with generosity and respect

ABSENCE:

Please provide 3 days advance notification if you cannot work as scheduled.

Please do your best try to find an Ambassador replacement within your Ambassador duty group or contact Ives Ambassador Coordinator at 203.364.7112.

If you are scheduled to work and are a no show without calling, you will be respectfully asked to resign from all future assignments and will not be called again.
AMBASSADOR JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Golf Cart Driver: (Must be 18 Years Old and have a valid CT driver’s license)
Transport patrons (especially handicap and elderly) from entrance to seating areas. Drivers are required to stay until the end of concerts until all patrons who need assistance are out of the park. At least one golf cart driver must stay with their vehicle for the duration of the performance, in the case that a patron requests to leave event early!
Raffle Ticket Sellers:
Raffle sellers stroll throughout park and are required to sell through intermission. Proceeds are brought back to Ambassador Coordinator periodically.
Ushers:
Responsible for correctly seating reserved ticket holders as indicated on each ticket. Familiarize yourself with seat rows and numbers. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Report to “Front of House Ambassador” after check-in has been completed. Ushers are required to stay at their posts until the end of the concert or until dismissed by Front of House Ambassador. Please enforce policies set forth by Ives Management as follows:

Ushers must not approach any patron in the reserved seating section because they are smoking. A general announcement will be made prior to show time and during intermission.

Ushers must not approach any patron in the reserved seating section because they are in possession of their own beverages of any kind, which are now prohibited at the park. A general announcement will be made prior to show time and during intermission.

When there is a security issue you must contact the Front of House Ambassador or a security staff person. Never confront the patron on your own.

Large coolers are prohibited in the reserved section. Coolers that can fit completely under a seat are permitted. Large coolers can be left in the back of the reserved section. Ives is not responsible for lost or stolen coolers.

Children ages three years and older must hold a full price reserved ticket to sit in the reserved section.

No one can sit in a lawn chair or on a blanket in the reserved section (unless instructed by Front of House Ambassador).

Lawn ticket holders cannot enter the reserved section at any time. Stop patrons from going over the fence in reserved section and check ticket.
Will Call:
Responsible for handing out sold tickets held for patron pickup. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Ambassadors must be available through Intermission.
Ticket Takers:
Children ages three years and older are required to have a ticket to enter the park. No pets are allowed in the Park. Patrons must have their ticket stubs or hand stamped to re-enter the Park. Ticket Takers are required to stay until the Box Office closes – usually one hour after main act starts.
Ives Merchandising:
Sell Ives Merchandise at Ambassador Tent. Must have good number aptitude and work well in a fast paced environment. Ambassadors must be available to work through the end of show.
Beverage Servers:
Specifically selected Ambassadors will pour beer, wine and soft drinks. Must work well in a fast-paced environment. Ambassadors must be available to work through the end of show.
Cashiers:
Ambassadors will collect money and make change for beverages. Must have good number aptitude and work well in a fast paced environment. Ambassadors must be available to work through the end of show.
Wrist Bands:
Patrons who wish to drink alcoholic beverages will be carded and if of legal age, Ambassador will place a wrist band on patron at front gate location and in front of main beverage concession.
