Art at Ives returned for its 4th year in June featuring a special concert with The Sherry Winston Band.

About Sherry Winston:
A graduate of Howard University’s College of Fine Arts, School of Music Sherry has had a successful career in the music industry as a flutist, performing alongside many music superstars including Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Gregory Porter, Vanessa Williams, Maxwell, Sinbad, Fourplay, Patti Austin, Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliott, Ramsey Lewis, Chaka Kahn, Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle, & Grover Washington, Jr. She has also appeared in concert with Ronnie Laws, Kirk Whalum, “Pieces of a Dream,“ Jeff Lorber, Norman Brown, and Flutist Hubert Laws at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Being featured in many top newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, Ebony, and Essence, Sherry is excited to bring her band to the Ives stage.
This 2 day juried art show will feature more than 60 artists, selling a great variety of high quality original works and in a diverse scope of art forms representing every major category. You will find one-of-a-kind paintings, mixed media masterpieces, exquisite earrings, and unbelievable wood furnishings. Shop for yourself, your family, or a friend – there is something for everyone featured in these fabulous booths!
Patrons come back each year for a perfect day at the park – a juried art show with top notch artists, jazz music by the pond, and fun artist demos. Children’s crafts will also be featured making it a fun outing for the whole family!
Every year we are growing this show to showcase the top notch talent of artists from New England and beyond. Providing the perfect picturesque backdrop, Ives’ lush oasis of natural beauty on Danbury’s west side, hosts world-renowned artists in a wide variety of music and theater genres. The venue pays tribute to its storied roots in classical music while acknowledging the ongoing evolution of the art of live performance. The Ives is proud to work together creatively with many artists and community stakeholders such as the WCSU Art Department, Cultural Alliance of Western CT and Brookfield Craft Center to develop this show, envisioning and inspiring cultural enrichment for the entire family.
