The Mighty Ploughboys are one of those bands that make you want to be Irish! A five-piece rock powerhouse out of Danbury that blends a classic rock style with hints of traditional Irish music to create an eclectic style that could be classified in its own genre. Mighty Ploughboys will challenge the way you think of Irish or Celtic rock bands because this new record has something for everyone – you will find yourself listening to it over and over. Now, they will be running the largest, free Irish Rock Concert in Connecticut “Mighty Ploughboy Nation 2,” starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Ives Concert Park.
Expected to perform are: Colleen and the Boys, Traveling Danbury’s, Gilleogham Irish School of Dance, Knox Sisters, Celtic Cross Pipe and Drums, Ale Hounds and the Mighty Ploughboys.
