Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I GET TO IVES CONCERT PARK?
Ives Concert Park is conveniently located off I-84, exit 4, in Danbury, Connecticut. We are accessible by Housatonic Area Transit (HART) buses and Metro-North trains. To reach us by car, use 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury to program your GPS.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
We offer parking on-site. Please carpool. For handicap parking, please speak to one of the officers directing traffic and be sure to have your state-issued handicap parking tag on display.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We are a completely outdoor venue! All concerts are rain-or-shine. In the instance of rain, standard umbrellas (no golf umbrellas) are permitted. We sell rain ponchos at our Ambassador Tent, too, but we believe dancing in the rain is more fun!

CAN I BRING MY KIDS? DO THEY NEED TICKETS?
Most of our events are open to all ages. Children 1-2 years old are free on the lawn. Children 3 and up need a lawn ticket for most events. All children (of any age) seated in the reserved section must have a full-price ticket. All guests in reserved seating require a ticket, regardless of age.

CAN I BRING MY PETS?
Only registered service animals are permitted. Please leave your pets at home where it is cooler, quieter and less crowded than it is during a concert.

WHAT CAN I BRING IN?
Guests are generally welcome to bring the following items: blankets, lawn chairs, binoculars, purses.           No food, coolers, glass, bottles, alcohol or beverages of any kind are allowed into the park. Any items you carry in will be searched.

Please leave the following items at home: animals/pets, fireworks, video equipment, tape recorders, coolers, cooking equipment, weapons, illegal drugs, bikes.

CAN I BUY FOOD? WHAT ABOUT BEVERAGES?
Ives Concert Park has a number of delicious on-site food vendors to satisfy your appetite. Soft drinks, water, energy drinks, beer and wine are available for purchase at reasonable prices in our concession area.

In order to expedite service of beer and wine in our beverage tents, we ask that all guests of legal age who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages obtain a wrist-band by showing their driver’s license or a valid photo ID to one of the many Ives Ambassadors checking ID’s and issuing wrist-bands at the entrance to the park or at a wrist-band table upon entering the venue. No ID = no wrist-band. No exceptions. We appreciate your cooperation.

HOW DO I PAY FOR PURCHASES ON-SITE?
We accept credit cards, debit cards and cash in our main beverage tent. However, some food vendors are cash-only so plan accordingly. We do have an ATM conveniently located on site.

WHAT IF I’M LOST, HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED ASSISTANCE?
For lost guests, guests needing assistance, guests who wish to enter our raffle drawings and those who have questions or want to inquire about becoming a volunteer, please visit the Ives Ambassador tent, located at the entrance to the lawn area. Or just stop by and say “hi” – we’d love to meet you!

WHAT IF I HAVE ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS?
Patrons who need accommodations for accessibility or other issues should contact Ives Concert Park in advance at info@ivesconcertpark.com or submit a request via our contact us form here. Ives Concert Park is an open air, outdoor facility that primarily has natural surfaces (grass and earth) throughout its viewing areas. There is a limited amount of hard-surface area available for use by those with mobility impairment issues. Please refer to the seating chart for location and contact us in advance to arrange for use.

A free golf cart shuttle service is available from the front gate to a central location in the park during each concert for all guests who require assistance.

DO YOU SUPPLY MY CHAIR OR DO I NEED TO BRING A CHAIR?:
If you are holding a reserved ticket, a chair will be provided for you. If you have a lawn ticket, you are welcome to bring your own chair and/or blanket. Don’t be confused by what appears to be a row and seat number on your lawn ticket — that information is for inventory purposes only. If your ticket says “GA” on it, you have a lawn ticket and will need to bring your own seats.
