See what visitors are saying about Ives Concert Park

“This was my 32nd Moody Blues concert and first time at Ives. I loved both the concert and the concert park … my husband, daughter and I traveled from Pittsfield, Mass., and it was well worth the trip. One of the nicest places for a concert I have ever been to.”

Debbie W.
Pittsfield, Mass.

“What a pleasant surprise ‘Two Nights Near Doolin’ was this past Friday. No crowds. Easy parking. Perfect moonlit night. The play was set up INSIDE the band pavilion, how cool was that???…you entered, were greeted by a ‘waitress’ and offered a seat in the ‘bar.’ There was a bar set up in the corner with a bartender with a cute brogue (set up only, no booze, which you had to bring in from the outside vendor), café tables. Entertained by cute Irish dancers, three musicians, and pretzels before play began. Actors/actresses were terrific, as was the play. You were invited to stay after play to meet the playwright and cast. We just loved it and the entire concept! I do hope the Ives Center puts it back on their schedule for next year!!! Kudos to all who participated! Left with a big smile on my face…in the moonlight…and out of there in two minutes because there were hardly any cars. 🙂 “

“This is among the best venues to see a concert! It’s so laid back and so much fun! We saw the Moody Blues here and had lawn seats, it rained, we had our red wine, and it was one of the most romantic dates we’ve been on! Special memories here! ♡”

Lorraine W.
Northampton, Mass.

“Beautiful place to come and relax and enjoy great music. ‘I’ll be back!'”

Suzanne B.
New City, N.Y.

“We all had a fantastic time – great show and a great place! Garrison was sweet and funny, the music was fine, and your staff, wonderful. Keillor’s stories were humorous and moving, he walked into the audience and led a sing-along, and even had some nice humanizing references to Ives. The triple rainbow over the stage (really!), the vivid clouds at sunset, and the gentle rain at closing were a brilliant touch … Thanks!”

Brock A.
Medford, Mass.

“This past Saturday night my wife and I came to the Ives Center to see Brandi Carlile — my first visit in over 20 years. What a fantastic setting!! The park is amazing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. You all should be very proud: it is the gem of Danbury and maybe the entire state. Brandi and her band, as well as Jamestown Revival, played an incredible show!!! Please bring them back next year!! We heard nothing but rave reviews as we left!!! Thank you for all your hard work!!

Mike T.

“We had a fan-tas-tic time [at The Specials concert]. We will surely be back. The staff was very cordial … the grounds (including the sprinklers) were pitch perfect for an outdoor venue. I will absolutely be certain to rave to other families about what a great fit your venue is for kids.”

“Hands down, one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. What an enjoyable evening outside with a one-of-a-kind entertainer. Amazing vocals and such joy in performing still … really comes across. [Tony Bennett’s] band was tops, too. Great sound from four instruments and four talented musicians. Everyone working at the Ives Concert Park was so nice to boot!! I came at the last minute, bought a reserved seat ticket, and had a night to remember … thanks!!”

“I just visited Ives Concert Park for the 1st time. As a veteran concert-goer, I must say that your venue is one of the nicest I have ever been to. I am telling everyone I know about it! I won tickets to Monday night’s show, and a meet ‘n greet with Michael Franti. That was exciting enough, but then to be surrounded by your beautiful park, I was just so incredulous. I love the size of your venue as well. Every seat in the house is a good one. The vibes, the staff, the landscaped grounds – everything was just perfect. I can’t wait to go back!!”

Beth D.

“I’ve been hearing about the venue for years by word-of-mouth and finally got there this weekend for the first time to see Earth, Wind & Fire. WONDERFUL place to see a concert. Great music, great food/beverages, lots of room to dance and super-friendly people all around. Pretty reasonable ticket prices for top-notch acts, too!”

My family and I really enjoy the venue and have attended many shows (Sheryl Crow rocked!) and festivals (Irish, etc.) throughout the years. I have already purchased tickets to see Peter Frampton and Allison Krauss this summer.”
